Paul Castran, CEO of Castran Gilbert is a well-known name in the Real Estate Industry. Since 1980, he has been actively involved in real estate and has carved a niche for himself in the industry. Next year, Paul would be completing 30 years in real estate.
Paul Castran completed his HSC at Wesley College in Melbourne and then completed the Associate Diploma in Valuations course at RMIT. During the final year of his diploma course, Paul devoted his entire day working full-time and completed the course at night.
Paul Castran started his career as a ‘Cadet Valuer’ for Dennis Gilbert and Stewart Gull in their office at Mount Waverley. Entire week Paul would be working as a ‘Cadet Valuer’ and on week-ends he would be working as the real estate sales person.
In the year 1982, Stewart Gull sold his 50 per cent share to Paul Castran. The inception of Castran Gilbert and a new partnership with Dennis Gilbert took the business to new heights.
Paul Castran and Dennis opened 3 new offices in Ringwood North, Dandenong and Wantirna. Specialised in new home sales and broad acre sales, they dominated the real estate market in these locations.
In 1990, Paul & Dennis purchased ‘Bailleau Knight Frank’ and ‘Abercrombie & Beatty’s’ rent rolls and set up a new office in Toorak Road.
Local real estate agents found it impossible to compete with agencies that had been in the industry over 100 years. Well versed in the Real Estate industry, Paul Castran set a new record by dominating apartment sales and new off-the-plan project sales. Every year, Castran Gilbert increased the market share exponentially and proved to be a dominant force in Melbourne.
Paul Castran with his three co-directors, Mark Forytarz, Tim Brown and Michael Lang has witnessed 17,000 sales in the past 29 years. His innate knowledge on the Australian real estate sector sets Paul apart from the other real estate investors.
Paul Castran is in the good books of many, not just because of his domain experience but also because of his close association with the charities. He has been actively involved in more than 2000 charity auctions.
In 1990, Paul got married to his beautiful wife Megan and has been blessed with two children Max and Zoe.
